ProPublica announced this week that Joseph Iacona will join its staff as the director for enterprise technology and security, where he will help improve the tools and systems critical to how the organization’s staff does its work, communicates and collaborates. He’ll lead efforts to ensure ProPublica can anticipate and adapt to new challenges and threats.
Iacona brings more than 15 years of experience leading technology initiatives at organizations big and small. Most recently, he was head of IT at 21.co, a global crypto exchange. Previously, he worked at the online learning platform Codecademy. Iacona is based in Brooklyn.
